Is it safe to sign a Heads of Agreement?

It is common practice now to be approached by an agent and asked to sign an ‘Agreement to Lease’ or ‘Heads of Agreement’.  The agent may assure you that their form is one which “everyone agrees on”. Beware this unqualified “advice”.  Although Heads of Agreement are common, there are still a number of factors which can be better negotiated on your behalf if you see your Kalde & Associates lawyer first before signing.
